THE SNURFER IS BACK!!!

Thats right folks, the legendary Snurfer is coming back this fall!  All new products are handmade right here in the USA, bringing back the classic shapes and look along with some new designs, and man do they look fun!

Sherman Poppen invented the Snurfer in 1965 as a way to get his kids out of the house , he saw them standing sideways on some sleds one cold winter day in Muskegon, Michigan….So he grabbed a couple pairs of old skis, nailed them together threw a rope on front , and voila!  His wife actually gave the name Snurfer (snow+ surfer) Poppen went into development perfecting the board then sold his design to the Brunswick corporation(yes bowling balls) in 1966. Brunswick then discontinued the Snurfer and sold it to the JEM corporation in 72 and they made them til the early 80s when more technical snowboards started being made and the Snurfers fad died out.

Well they’re trying to make a comeback under the new owners of Vew-Do….. I for one am excited to have another way to slide sideways down the hill!!    You can check out their website and stay tuned on new product here http://snurferboards.com and also on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SnurferBoards
