Wednesday March 7th… Its been a week since it last snowed.
With Tahoe not having the snowpack this year we all knew it was going to be pretty low tide out in the back country but we were all down for the adventure anyways. I met up with Kyle Miller, Jason Privett and Chris Bosco at The Coffee Bar in Truckee at 6:30am and got some much needed caffeine. After that we headed to the trail head where Jake Lauter and Vic Lowrance met up with us. The route that we usually take to this zone had no snow so we had to take an alternative route which delayed our arrival by a few hrs. Finally making it to the zone with hearts racing we were surprised to find the zone wind effected and boney. Last time we were here was in 09/10 and it had 30+ more feet of snow. We made the best of it and were still able to get some good turns…
