Every year around this time the itch really sets in and we want to shred, no matter how little snow. That first white dusting gets us frantically looking for our boots and mittens so we can go play in some fresh white snow… mixed with dirt and rocks and grass.
Every shred town around the world has their own little spots that always seem to get dusted first, the herds rally up and session something and anything on a strip of snow, waiting for their drop in on whats usually a sketchy ass feature. Smiles are had and you leave feeling somewhat content.
In Tahoe we have a few early season spots, Mt Rose, Donner, high up in South Lake , and even Boreal Mt produces some fun and interesting features as soon as its cold enough for them to get the snow guns going….and there always seems to be a corrugated tube.
So heres a few local Early Season Tahoe edits from over the years as a reminder, always creative and very sketchy , enjoy and get ready to ride some dirt!
