FORMER OLYMPIC SNOWBOARDER TO REPRESENT HOME TOWN RESORT
China Peak Mountain Resort, Lakeshore, Ca…Andy Finch, a Fresno native and one of the most celebrated American snowboarders in the sports 30 year history, will be representing his home town resort, China Peak, this winter in a series of resort personal appearances, advertising campaigns and videos. Finch is also expected to play a role in designing signature features in China Peak’s new Chinatown Terrain Park, as well as hosting a series of special events focused on local snowboarders.
“It’s so good to be back at my stomping grounds, where I have countless memories with friends and family,” said Finch from his home in Truckee, Ca. “I’m looking forward to spending time at California’s best kept secret, China Peak.”

Finch, a member of the 2006 United States Olympic Snowboarding Team, X Games Silver Medalist, Van’s Triple Crown Winner, film star and now a widely respected commentator for the world’s premier snowboarding events grew up in Fresno, just over an hour away from China Peak, where he spent hundreds of days honing his world class skills.
“I think it says a lot about Andy’s character that he wants to spend time at his home resort, with his friends and family, to help promote winter sports in the greater Central Valley, when he can lend his name to virtually any resort in the country,” said Tim Cohee, China Peak’s owner and general manager. “He is a winter sports icon in this region, and I’m certain many of our avid snowboarders, and skiers, are anxious to see him on the mountain as well as being an integral part of our marketing campaign. It is our hope he brings a heightened awareness to how easy it is to be a snowboarder or skier when you live so close to a quality mountain resort.”
